The National Training and Development Curriculum (NTDC) is a new curriculum that is based on research and input from experts, families who have experience with fostering or adopting children, and former foster and adoptive youth. It is a state-of-the-art classroom and online program that helps to prepare prospective foster and adoptive parents and provides access to information and resources needed to continue building skills once they have a child in their home.
Families and Single Parents interested in fostering to adopt children will learn about the process of fostering. Information will be provided on SIDS and Shaken Baby Syndrome, the process of removing children and placement into foster homes, a foster child’s experience, as well as a wealth of other vital information on serving children in need.
This is required training that once completed will provide you with all the information needed to be a licensed foster parent. This is an exciting event and a great time to network with other foster adoptive parents in the process. Once you RSVP more detailed information will be provided about the event specifics.
